LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
The 40-acre Warren Wildlife Area lies in northeast Ohio, south-central Trumbull County, Weathersfield Township. It is located on Austintown Warren Road three miles south of the city of Warren. There is a small marsh located in the center of the area. The area consists primarly of bottomland hardwoods.

HISTORY AND PURPOSE
The area was acquired through a mitigation agreement. The area is now managed for public hunting and fishing.

WILDLIFE
There are many game animals found on the area including fox squirrel, wild turkey, white-tailed deer, and cottontail rabbits. Furbearers such as mink, skunk, opossum, and muskrat are also present. Many species of nesting and migrating birds also use this area at different times of the year. The marsh and river are also used by beaver, river otter, and migrating waterfowl with wood ducks being the dominant species.

HUNTING, FISHING, AND TRAPPING
Warren Wildlife Area provides good hunting opportunities for white-tailed deer, wild turkey, squirrel, and some waterfowl. There is limited trapping for raccoon, mink, and muskrat. There is opportunity for fishing along the Mahoning River. Beaver and otter can be trapped by permit only.

PUBLIC USE FACILITIES
There is one parking lot on the west side of the area off Austintown-Warren Road.
