The Ohio DNR is short for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. This is the government agency charged with the regulation and care of all state parks and public hunting lands. The Ohio DNR is also responsible for monitoring watercraft and have a special division devoted to forestry. The Ohio DNR is one of the most well respected organisations of it's kind due to the fact that over the past few decades it has seen growth in areas of expanding state wildlife preserves and parks, and also in monitoring violations of state hunting and fishing regulations. Due to these facts the Ohio DNR has contributed greatly to the safety of the people in Ohio and the preservation of Ohio natural resources and wildlife.
